Do any other gunmen feel needing to be in a crisis of their own?

What I am referring to is that it's like, that as gunlancers are DPS gunslingers are obliterated by the more powerful DPS units available (like Sorceress, zerker, gunlancer, deathblade etc. ).

I recently ran T3 Heavy Armor, Hit Master and Spirit Absorption for a time. I found that although I didn't get MVP in the final-result screen I felt at ease knowing other players didn't think gunslingers would be playing the top MVP constantly and I felt less pressured be a frame-perfect player regardless of the sport. I felt more relaxed knowing that I didn't have to focus on not hogging groups revives or drinking the potions in a constant manner.

I've recently switched off from previous engravings to T3 Cursed Doll/Hit Master/Adrenaline , and everything feels a lot worse. I can definitely feel my damage levels are the upper limits however, apart of that, everything is sad.

One thing is that I'm still getting beaten by Sorcerers and the typical team of top-tier DPS units who win MVP every single day So it's as if changing my engravings has no effect on my contribution to the team I'm investing into.

Additionally, I'm taking potions every single day. Gunslinger comes with one of the highest armor percentage in the game.

I experienced a shift from being able handle potions with ease and being capable of taking a lot of hits and not die immediately to never being in a state of running out of potion since the slightest mistake can chew the majority of my lifebar. With no Heavy Armor I'm often not in a position to perform proper rotations. Even making perfect turns can lead to not causing as much damage as other DPS classes.

At the moment, I'm pretty close to reaching 1400, however I'm wondering whether there's any reason for Gunslinger to exist at all or even to reach 1445 to Valtan. Do users of KR consider Gunslinger players as an DPS unit? And then there's the huge negative stigma that people have of Heavy Armor users and not going to their parties to play more difficult content at the end of the game and so on, what's the purpose of playing GS?

I don't have continuous damage up-time as Gunlancers get, nor the tanks they experience as well as the huge damage bursts with minimal effort as Sorcerers and Deathblades. I must be perfect , or else even any slight twitch can destroy my character. And even when I'm perfect, I'm not able to get as close to other DPS units.
