NBA 2K21 next-generation facial action on Xbox Series X brings life to life

Nov-25-2020 PST Category: NBA 2K21

After a 10-year hiatus, returning to NBA 2K is a crazy experience. The more intimate story mode of this game is surprising. But the most shocking thing was the appearance of Djimon Hounsou, Jesse Williams and Michael K. Williams. Over the past decade, celebrities have gained momentum in mainstream gaming, but it’s still surprising to see such beautiful and familiar faces in the NBA 2K21 campaign. The most shocking is the level of detail in their personal character models and the heinous valley irritation that usually comes when placing real faces in the game.

Djimon Hounsou looks like Djimon Hounsou. You can see every pore on his face and see the subtle sweat on his face. You can see all the small hairs on his salt and pepper goatee, and even individual strands of eyebrows. You will see the subtle tension of dry lips and slight frowning of forehead muscles. When his mouth moved, it looked like a real mouth.

This is a far cry from the previous generation of games, whose bright eyes, bizarre teeth and smooth baby skin immediately ruined the sense of immersion.

Second, it has breakthrough graphics. Although not every game can demonstrate the graphics capabilities and performance provided by the technical upgrades of Xbox Series X and PS5, they do shine in NBA 2K21 and do not require you to spend 2K21 MT. This is awesome. Djimon Hounsou is not the only NBA 2K21 star to receive a gorgeous, surrealistic treatment.

The game also played Jesse Williams (Jesse Williams) and Michael K. Williams (Michael K. Williams), and their performances were immediately recognized. Like Hounsou, there is a certain degree of attention in each character model, just as players always pay attention to NBA 2K21 MT Coins, which is simply an amazing achievement. Little beads of sweat flowed from Jesse Williams' face. You will see subtle scars on Michael K. Williams' face. Every detail can be perfectly replicated, and even facial movements have been carefully designed to make people come alive.

Although the model of Jesse Williams is not as amazing as the models of Hounsou or Michael K. Williams, it is still excellent. This is mainly sweat that I cannot overcome.

In fact, this may be a detail I really feel about the next generation. We are now at a stage where video game graphics becomes critical. It's no longer just rendering the scene or the character, but also all the subtle details. This is about realism. When the character blinks, the eyelashes will fold. It involves every pore and beard hair. This is all sweat.

From a gaming point of view, although NBA 2K21 is not a huge leap compared to previous games, it does shine in the graphics and performance sectors. This game console is dexterous and feels like the beginning of the next generation of graphics revolution. If we have acquired surrealism in these early stages (and in the crossgen title), the future is indeed very bright.
